Quick crock pot meals have been a necessity lately at my house with all the late hours I have been working at the flower shop and running my Plexus Slim business. Can you imagine my family expects to eat? Everyday?
So many quick crock pot meals are either bland or mushy. And my husband is very picky so I have a hard time finding recipes that work for us. This one falls slightly into the mushy category, but tastes wonderful so I overlook that fact. Served over mashed potatoes and with a side salad, it’s a great addition to my quick crock pot meals group.
I have also been trying to cut back on the preservatives we eat. This includes using fewer packets like taco seasoning and so forth. So far I have found and perfected Homemade Taco Seasoning, Sloppy Joe Mix, Brownie Mix, Cornbread Mix, Ranch Dressing mix and a few others. And now my own Onion Soup Mix. I used my own mix here but the recipe calls for the packet so I left it that way for simplicity.
I found this recipe online a while back but cannot find where now. And fair warning, it may not be the prettiest thing you’ve ate when you’re finished, but give it a try. It’s delicious!!
